What does “real business activity” mean?
This refers to genuine, documented commercial operations — such as issuing invoices, paying for services, hiring staff, and handling daily business operations. A company must be actively trading for at least 4 months before you can apply for the residence permit.
What is the Start-up Committee and how do I get approval?
The Start-up Committee is a panel of Estonian experts who evaluate innovative business ideas applying for the Estonian Start-up Visa.

Can I apply as a board member of an Estonian company?
Yes. If you are on the management board of a company operating in Estonia, you can apply for a residence permit without a fixed investment amount. You must:

Can my spouse also apply for a residence permit?
